Paige Jacobsen

Paige Jacobson brings a strong foundation in biology and extensive hands-on clinical experience as a medical assistant to the Access Healthcare team. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wake Forest University, where she also completed a minor in Spanish, and went on to complete a Pre-Health Certificate through the University of New England. Her academic background includes coursework in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, medical terminology, and Spanish medical translation.

Prior to joining Access Healthcare, Paige worked as a Medical Assistant and Certified Dermatology Technician at Dermatology Specialists. Working closely alongside physicians and physician assistants, she gained significant experience in direct patient care, including medical scribing, venipuncture, suture removal, injections, wound care, prescription management, prior authorizations, and assisting with surgical procedures. She also served as the primary medical assistant to a physician, communicating directly with patients regarding prescriptions, laboratory results, and other aspects of their care.

Paige has broadened her clinical perspective through experiences in orthopedics, geriatrics and rehabilitation, and women’s health. She has also participated in biology research focused on neuronal cell signaling. These experiences have strengthened her interest in individualized, relationship-based medicine and her goal of pursuing a career as a physician assistant.

Outside of the clinical setting, Paige has devoted significant time to working with children and young adults with physical and behavioral disabilities through therapeutic riding programs. She is proficient in Spanish and holds certifications in CPR, Basic Life Support, nursing assistance, and dermatology technology.

Paige is excited to bring her clinical experience, attention to detail, and commitment to thoughtful, personalized care to Access Healthcare and to help ensure that every patient feels known, supported, and well cared for.
