Dr. David L. Albenberg

Dr. David Albenberg is the Founder and Medical Director of Access Healthcare and a pioneer of concierge and direct primary care in South Carolina. Since founding Access Healthcare in 2003, he has dedicated his career to restoring the physician-patient relationship through accessible, personalized, and prevention-focused medicine. Long before concierge medicine became a national movement, Dr. Albenberg recognized the limitations of traditional high-volume healthcare and created a model that allows physicians and patients the time, access, and partnership necessary to achieve better long-term health outcomes.

Originally from West Orange, New Jersey, Dr. Albenberg earned his undergraduate degree from Tufts University and his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in Family Medicine at Medical University of South Carolina, where he developed a passion for comprehensive primary care and preventive medicine. He has been board-certified in Family Medicine since 1997 and has spent almost three decades serving patients throughout the Charleston area.

Throughout his career, Dr. Albenberg has remained committed to challenging conventional healthcare models and seeking innovative ways to help patients live healthier, longer lives. His practice emphasizes advanced diagnostics, early disease detection, personalized wellness strategies, and evidence-based interventions designed to optimize longevity and quality of life. He is particularly passionate about preventive medicine and staying at the forefront of emerging medical research, helping patients navigate an increasingly complex healthcare landscape with clarity and confidence.
